Customer Care

Beyond Satisfied ™ is our model for customer care which attempts to achieve customer interactions beyond the usual mechanical or transactional “customer service” or “customer satisfaction” models. Our effort is not merely to offer service, but to achieve the happiness of our customers in their interactions with us. As with all businesses, we must work within our policies and practices, but these have been developed from the very beginning with our customer care model in mind and based on a mission to create reasonable policies and practices which are reasonably administered.

About Our Policies

At Good Thinking International, LLC, we have many important objectives but none more important than providing our customers with a safe and secure experience when they visit us online. Having written policies to guide - and protect - our activities is a necessity for all businesses and especially so online. Our efforts in developing and evolving our policies is predicated on a core philosophy of “reasonableness” which we hope to instill in these written policies, and ultimately, in the way in which we conduct business.

We do not ask individual customers to create and maintain online accounts with passwords and user names. It is our intention to gather the minimum information needed to properly complete a transaction and to communicate with our customers. We offer our customers the choice of secure PCI Compliant third-party credit card processors (Shopify and PayPal) who processes transactions directly. Credit card information is not processed through, retained by, or sought by us in any way. We believe fully in your privacy and do not conduct any research on our customers as many businesses do these days. If you choose to make a purchase because you believe in what we do, that is good enough for us.

Since we gather minimal information about our customers and do not retain any financial information, we minimize what needs to be secured. Therefore, what we do maintain is most likely readily available in public records (such as your name and shipping address) and should not be of great concern to our customers. However, for what little information we do maintain, we make every reasonable effort to keep secure.

REASONABLE RETURN POLICY™

Our Reasonable Return Policy™: If you make a purchase
and want to return it, you can do so for free as
long as it is returned in new and unused condition in
and with all of its original packaging and contents.

We stand behind our products and want you to be happy with your purchase. We also want you to feel confident and comfortable in placing an order. Even though our carvings are most often created on a made-to-order order basis with customers specifying the wood, design and finish, we will accept returns under the following conditions:

  • Returns must be initiated within 30 days of the delivery date.
  • To request a refund, the original purchaser must first contact us by e-mail within 30 days of the delivery date using the same e-mail address through which the order was placed.
  • Refunds will be issued only in the same form of currency as was used for the original purchase. (For example, if a credit card was used for the purchase, then credit will be issued back to that same card.)
  • The merchandise being returned must be received by us in new, complete, unused, undamaged and salable condition and in its complete original packaging (including any literature, instructions, or components, etc.). If a hanging kit is included, it must also be returned unused and unopened.
  • For qualifying returns, a free, printable FedEx shipping label will be e-mailed to the customer. The customer must apply the label to the return package and bring it to the FedEx Shipping Store most convenient to them (and not to a FedEx dropbox).
  • Once a return is received in good condition and determined to have met the terms of this policy, a refund will be processed and applied back to the customer’s original form of payment.

Note: This policy does not apply to Custom Work. Prior to initiating Custom Work, All Custom Work Clients will receive a separate copy of our Terms and Conditions for Custom Work.

CHARITABLE POLICY AND PRACTICES

Each of our carvings has been assigned to a specific Charitable Category. For example, our Home Sweet Home Carving is assigned to the Food, Shelter and Hope Charitable Category. Each Home Sweet Home Carving purchased through our website will therefore generate a charitable contribution from us to one or more properly recognized and vetted not-for-profit organizations that provide Food, Shelter and Hope programs and/or services.

Through their purchases, our customers help determine the direction and allocation of our charitable giving. For example, if 10% of the total dollar value for website purchases during the preceding year were in the Food, Shelter and Hope Charitable Category, then 10% of our total charitable giving budget would be allocated to support one or more qualifying charities offering services in that sector.

For purposes of determining allocation percentages, only direct website sales figures are used. Our annual charitable budget, however, is determined based upon the results of overall operations. The results of any fundraising programs with in which we may choose to engage in cooperation with a specific not-for-profit are expressly excluded from this giving program.

Giving decisions, funding allocations and actual disbursements are made annually. Decisions regarding the selection of not-for-profit recipients are made independently and internally based upon a review of financial statements, program impact, and other performance indicators.

Out of a sense of reporting responsibility to our customers, we request permission of our giving program beneficiaries to list the names of their organizations on our website. This listing does not constitute either an endorsement of our business by any charity or an endorsement of any charity by our business.

All of our charitable policies, categories and practices are subject to change at our sole discretion. Funding recipients are identified and selected by us on an annual basis, so renewed funding from year to year is not assured.

We regret that we are unable to accept any calls, funding requests or proposals related to charitable giving.
