Origins: Translated from the ancient Latin salutation, Pax Vobiscum, we think the lettering beautifully supports the sentiment and our carving will be cherished by anyone wishing to spread the hope of peace.

Finding both a beautiful and meaningful letterform to pair with this simple, but extraordinarily powerful sentiment took us considerable time. However, we hope you’ll agree the final result made the effort worthwhile. Our search ended with a blackletter form inspired the typeface Johannes Gutenberg used in 1452 to print the famous Gutenberg Bible, the first book ever printed using movable type.
