Full Inscription: Equal Justice Under Law
From the pediment of the Supreme Court Building in Washington, D.C., this brief statement represents the standard of justice to which we aspire and strive as Americans and as a nation.
A great gift or office item for any lawyer, law student, or legal advocate. This carving was suggested by a legal library librarian and we were happy to oblige. The lettering was created to come as close as possible to the actual lettering on the pediment as represented in the very best public photos we were able to access. (As an interesting side note, our multiple attempts over a two year period to secure an image of the original plan drawings of just the lettering from which to work were ultimately declined for "security reasons.")
This is an important carving for us to add to our overall collections and you will not be disappointed in the result.
Size: 32" Wide X 6" High
(Note: This carving is now available for order. However, photos of it in our various finish options are not. Please refer to finish options shown in some of our other products for reference in the meantime.)
