Full Inscription: Every child begins the world again. - Thoreau

Origins: Thoreau's brief, but impactful statement from his literary classic Walden really brings proper perspective to what is truly important.

We think this is a great carving for educators, parents, families and anyone involved in the care or education of children. The lettering is a Spencerian script, a form of handwriting which was in use in the 1800's just before the typewriter came into widespread use for business correspondence. The floral ornament is also of a decorative Spencerian style.
